One of life’s little pleasures is making the perfect cup of tea, something that Bernadotte & Kylberg took into account when designing the Helix collection for the Danish luxury goods company Georg Jensen in 2018. The duo added a bit of Scandinavia flair to the ritual with their collection of tea and coffee pots, milk jug, bonbonniere, and tray, channeling the DNA of Georg Jensen’s organic style. Each piece is made in stainless steel, featuring exquisite details such as the helix curves that flow seamlessly into the lids, as well as the flowing lines of the handles. Aesthetics aside, a perfect cup of tea or coffee requires the service to perform well and Bernadotte & Kylberg’s keen eye for practicality is obvious in the Helix collection. The thermo jug keeps coffee warm for up to six hours while the drip-free tea pot has a double steel wall which ensures a hot cup of tea long after the water has been added. And the elegant contemporary tray has a special non-slip surface to avoid clumsy disasters when serving.
