About 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, the ice is so clear that in some places you have to touch it to see that it is actually there. It's like no other ice you've ever seen before, at least not like we've seen before. When we were asked to design a suite for the Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, we didn't hesitate for a second.

We also knew it would all be about the ice. Our idea? Well, what better way to show the true nature of ice than to encapsulate the most fragile and beautiful Swedish midsummer flowers in an arctic environment? For us Swedes, midsummer, and especially midsummer night, is filled with myth and legend. The Scandinavian nature that surrounds us, the flowers and the ice, plays a big role in our cultural heritage and is important to who we are as Nordics as Scandinavians. Hopefully, our vision with the design suite "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will invite you to become a part of us as well.
